NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Nashville Predators surrendered three first period goals and lost in Anaheim 4-2 Sunday night.
WKRN News 2 reports that backup goalie Carter Hutton struggled in just his second start of the season. Rickard Rickell, Sami Vatanen and Andrew Cogliano all beat Hutton in the first period. Vatanen’s and Cogliano’s goals came only 12 seconds apart.
Nashville rallied for a pair of goals in the second period to make it a two goal game. Shea Weber scored his third of the season on the power play to make it 3-1. Calle Jarnkrok scored from the slot to make it 4-2.
Carter Hutton finished with 24 saves for Nashville. Frederik Anderson had 42 for the Anaheim Ducks.
The loss is only the second of the season in regulation for Nashville, dropping the Preds to 7-2-2 for the season.
