CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We’ve got a packed week of sports in the Clarksville area with some high school basketball teams starting their postseason journey, some continuing their deep runs, and even some with regular-season makeup games still sprinkled in. Let’s take a look at the games going on this week.

Make up games to begin week

All teams still needing to make up regular season games will do so on Monday or Tuesday.

One important makeup game includes West Creek boys’ basketball at Northwest High on Monday. With a win, the Vikings can clinch the regular-season district title in district 14-4A, while West Creek is trying to secure the fourth overall seed and play in an elimination play-in game.

Tuesday’s postseason games

On Tuesday night, Clarksville Christian will play their first state tournament game of 2026-27, as they’ll be hosting Zion Christian School for the right to advance to the state quarterfinals.

Clarksville Christian School is looking for their fifth straight state title, and they are now only three wins away. If the Centurions win their quarterfinal game on Tuesday, they will play the winner of Franklin Road and South Haven. Then, if they win that game as well, they’ll play the state title game at Welch College at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Also on Tuesday, the district 14-4A playoff game between Kenwood boys’ basketball and an opponent to be determined, will be played in a win-or-go-home contest.

Clarksville Academy boys’ and girls’ basketball

Both Clarksville Academy squads are onto their region tournament games this week as well.

On Tuesday, the girls’ team, who finished fourth in their district tournament, will take on Middle Tennessee Christian in the division II-A middle region quarterfinals in an elimination game.

Meanwhile, the boys’ team, who finished third in their district tournament, will travel to Battle Ground Academy in an elimination game in the region quarterfinals. Both teams will qualify for the state tournament with wins.

Beginning of district tournament play for others

Then on Thursday, for most area teams, the district tournaments begin.

The district 13-4A girls’ tournament will be held at Kirkwood High School, where Clarksville High will play Northeast, and Rossview will play Kirkwood in their district semifinals.

The district 14-4A girls’ tournament is being held at West Creek where the Northwest Vikings will face off with Henry County, and top-seeded Dickson County will play the winner of the play-in between Kenwood and West Creek on Tuesday.

Montgomery Central will also be playing their district semifinal game on Thursday against a TBD opponent.

Lastly, on Friday, other high school boys’ basketball teams will kick off their tournaments.

District 13-4A’s semifinals will feature top-seeded Kirkwood versus Northeast High, as well as Rossview taking on Clarksville High.

Over on the west side of town, district 14-4A’s seeding is still up for grabs, and matchups have not been set. Across the River, the Indians of Montgomery Central, who claimed the top seed in their district, will face a TBD opponent in the semifinals as well.

As a side note, the Fort Campbell high school basketball teams are still playing in their regular seasons.
