CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have identified a teenage suspect in a shooting at a Clarksville motel last month.
At 9:28 p.m. on April 23, Clarksville Police received a 911 call from a man staying at the GuestHouse motel on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, stating he had been shot in the leg, according to a news release from police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
Ja’baree Jones, 16, was identified on Thursday as the suspect, and detectives have taken out a juvenile petition for especially aggravated robbery, Beaubien said.
He is approximately 6-foot-3 and weighs 200 pounds. He has a tattoo on his forearm of a five-point star with an “H” inside. A court order was obtained to release the juveniles’ information to the public.
“CPD has reason to believe that he is in Nashville, however he has numerous ties to Clarksville, specifically in the Providence Boulevard area. It is assumed that he is armed and dangerous,” Beaubien said.
Anyone with information or video footage is asked to contact Detective Henry, 931-648-0656, ext. 5343. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, call the Clarksville Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Tipsline 931-645-8477, or go online and submit a tip at P3tips.com/591.
