CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Several Clarksville area high school football teams have already punched their ticket to the postseason, but we have a few teams that are still fighting to keep their season alive as we enter the last week of the regular season. Let’s take a look at the scenarios headed into Week 11.

Who’s in, who’s out?

We’ve got a few teams locked into their positions regardless of results this week. For starters, Clarksville High clinched its third straight region title with a win over Antioch on Friday, having won the head-to-head tiebreaker.

They’ll face Cane Ridge on Thursday, but that result won’t matter, as both teams have clinched the postseason and are locked into the one and four seeds, respectively.

Northeast and Northwest face off this week, but both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs and each team is looking for their first region victory of the season. While neither team will advance to the postseason, they each will look to send their seniors out with a win.

Montgomery Central and Clarksville Academy are also eliminated, but they can ruin some seasons with upsets against Spring Hill and Mount Juliet Christian.

Lastly, West Creek has also been eliminated, and they end their season with a contest against Greenbrier.

You’re in but where?

The four playoff teams in region 7-5A are decided. The one and two seeds are Kirkwood and Henry County, and the three and four seeds are Kenwood and Dickson County.

  • 1-seed: Kirkwood High School.
  • 2-seed: Henry County High School.
  • 3-seed: Kenwood High School.
  • 4-seed: Dickson County High School.

The Cobras face the Patriots this week in a region title game to decide who the number one seed will be, while the Knights face the Cougars with the number three seed going to the winner of that contest.

In region 5-6A, thanks to Antioch losing its first region contest to Clarksville High last Friday night, the Rossview Hawks have a golden opportunity in the front of them.

Rossview is scheduled to face off against Antioch on Thursday, and the winner between the Hawks and the Bears clinches the two seed and a home playoff game next week. Meanwhile, the loser of the contest falls to the three-seed and having to travel.

Win and in

Fort Campbell is the lone team in Clarksville that doesn’t know if they’ll be playing next week or not. The Falcons welcome Trigg County into Fryar Stadium on Thursday for a win-and-in contest for both squads. Winner goes to the playoffs, loser goes home.
