CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region hosted a block party Wednesday evening to kick-off their 2019-20 fundraising campaign with a goal of $1.5 million. The event was held at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Franklin St. downtown.
Dozens of United Way supporters turned out for the food, music and fun at the campaign kick-off. Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the United Way, Valerie Guzman, is encouraged to share the United Way message with the community.
“We keep it local, it’s for everyone and it has a good feel. When you give to someone and you reach out you’re changing someone’s life and it changes yours in the whole scheme of things,” said Guzman.
