CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The Montgomery County Fair came to town and despite restrictions due to COVID-19, fairgoers didn’t let it rain on their parade.
In fact, they didn’t even let the rain, rain on their parade.
Thursday night, several patrons, some toting umbrellas, continued enjoying the festivities, rides, games and food despite a gentle but steady downpour.
The fair is normally in June and this year with the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair came to town later and stayed longer.
The Fair has been held Aug. 7-15 at the Clarksville Speedway & Fairgrounds on Needmore Road.
Speedway owner William Scogin said this year the fair was spread over two weekends for safety concerns of COVID-19 which will help lower crowded conditions.
