CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) The 11th Annual 2017 Toyota East-West Football All-Star Classic game was played at Fortera stadium, Friday night. The Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association selects high school players from all over the state for the teams.
The East pulled out a 16-10 win this year. After the game, members of (TACA) awarded offensive and defensive MVP for both teams. The offensive MVP for the East team was WR Alontae Taylor from Coffee County (Tennessee commit) and the defensive MVP was OLB Tony Thompson from Mt. Juliet.
The West team offensive MVP was QB John Bachus from Giles County (UT-Martin commit) and the defensive MVP for the west was OLB Jashun Bryant from Cane Ridge.
The only player from the Clarksville area was WR Gus Antoine Jr. from Northeast High School.
