Peggy Joyce Pierce, age 81, of Clarksville, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Clarksville Nursing and Rehab.
She was born in Cheatham County, TN, to the late Cleveland Groves and Emma Williams Groves. Mrs. Pierce was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pierce; one son, Allen Pierce; and brother, Joe Groves.
Peggy was a retired Branch Manager for Michigan National Bank and the Methodist Publishing House. She was a member of Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Marcoulier officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery, in Charlotte, TN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, August 4 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, August 5 at the funeral home.
Peggy is survived by three sons, Don (Carolyn) Pierce, Robert (Donna) Pierce, and Stanley Dale Pierce, all of Clarksville; six grandchildren, Katherine (Ben) Wallace, Kenneth Howell, Adam (Jennifer) Groves, Tracy Joyce Pierce, Mark Robert Pierce, and Stephanie Danielle Pierce; and five great grandchildren, Kayla, Alexandria, Elisabeth, Joseph, and Olivia.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Howell, Adam Groves, Mark Pierce, Ben Wallace, Mike Willard, and Corey Choate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 1539-C Ashland City Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
