OAK GROVE, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Oak Grove Classical Christian Academy is a new member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce after a ribbon cutting on Tuesday.
Headmaster Chance Summers described the academy as a classical school. “We are very heavily focused on literature, reading, mathematics, and when you are going into the scientific and historical aspect of education, it’s more discovery than just memorization, go home and you forget it. We really want to engage the child’s mind and everything that they do,” Summers said.
Oak Grove Classical Christian Academy is at 205 State Line Road, and typical hours are 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and they offer afterschool care until 6 p.m. Summers added that they offer tours of the school between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
