NWHS Women’s Soccer Coach, Bailey Cheben, stated, “It has been a true privilege to coach Mikayla on the soccer field and teach her in the classroom. From the minute I met her, I knew soccer was Mikayla’s passion. Her determination for excellence has led to her great success on the field and in the classroom, exemplifying what it means to be a student-athlete. Mikayla will be dearly missed, but I have no doubt that she will find even greater success at Oakland City University.”

Oakland City Women’s Soccer Coach, Emmanuel Awotula stated, “I am so excited that Mikayla chose to come to Oakland City to play soccer. Her talent and speed on the soccer field instantly stood out and we knew we wanted to have her play for the Lady Oaks. She is going to be a great fit on our team and we are looking forward to what she will accomplish with the Lady Oaks.” Mikayla commented, “I was able to practice with the team while visiting the university and it felt like the right fit. I am excited to have the opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level with some of my old club teammates and learn from Coach Awotula.” Oakland City University is located in Oakland City, Indiana, which is about 35 miles north of Evansville.
