CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Northeast boy’s soccer defeated Rossview Thursday 4-3 to win their first district title since 2015.

Just nine minutes into the match, the Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 advantage.

Innis Ortiz assisted Luis Bardales for the first score before Ortiz later connected for the third goal of the game.

Gregory Cousin made it 2-0 once he avoided the Hawks goalkeeper and drove the ball into the back of the net.

Rossview capitalized on two penalty kicks to pull back within one goal. Keagan Toole was responsible for each score with the first coming in the 19th minute, and the second in the 20th minute.

In the 67th minute, the Hawks were able to negate a make from Uriel Ortiz, but were unable to get another shot to fall down the stretch.

Northeast (10-2-2), now the District 13-AAA champion, hosts Munford Monday, May 17, at 6 p.m. to start the Region 7-AAA tournament.

Rossview (9-7) travels to play Arlington Monday, May 17.
