CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library’s North Branch has received national recognition in Library Journal’s annual Year in Architecture feature.
In the article, “Thinking Outside the Box,” the North Branch was highlighted for its spacious, welcoming porch and bright, colorful interior, showcasing a fresh approach to library design that emphasizes community connection and accessibility.
The 17,000-square-foot facility, the first branch location in the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library system, was designed to serve the rapidly growing North Clarksville community.
“It has been a wonderful process watching the North Branch become a reality. We are fortunate to have had such outstanding architectural partners at HBM Architects, along with the continued support of our Boards, County leadership, and our talented staff,” said Library Director, Christina Riedel.
“At every step, we worked thoughtfully and intentionally, keeping our patrons and community at the center of our decisions. It means so much to see library patrons enjoying this space and knowing that it will serve our community for years to come makes all the work behind it an absolute pleasure. We hope this will be a welcoming and meaningful space that generations of patrons will enjoy for many years to come.”
