CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – February 25 is officially National Pancake Day 2020, the perfect excuse to enjoy the traditional breakfast food. The ‘holiday’ began in 2006 as national restaurant chain, IHOP, looked for ways to engage customers and donate to philanthropies.
The result is now a fun annual holiday that offers diners a free stack of pancakes in exchange for a donation to one of several charities. It also falls on ‘Fat Tuesday’, traditionally a time of indulgence and celebration before Lent.
Since 2006, IHOP has raised over $30 million for non-profit organizations.
On February 25, national pancake chain, IHOP is offering a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes to all those who dine in until 7pm. The restaurant chain has two locations in Clarksville.
