CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.)- There is an organization whose mission in the Clarksville is to help blind and low vision children, adults, and their families reach their full capacity and transform their dreams into reality
The National Federation of the Blind of Tennessee Fort Campbell-Clarksville Chapter has about 13 members and has been busy this past year trying to expand its reach in the local community and fundraise to make their programs successful.
Community fundraising and holding events helps the organization fund The Bell Academy, a National Federation of the Blind program that allows blind and low-vision children to be more confident and independent by providing real life experiences. The Bell Academy is currently hosted by APSU annually each summer.
The National Federation of the Blind’s State Convention is being held in Clarksville from April 3-5, 2020 at the Towne Place Suite, 120 Fair Brook Pl, Clarksville, TN 37040.
Funding is needed to make the event a success.
“Over the years the funding for our program has diminished,” said Barbara Tucker. ” We need donations to ensure this event is a success. Any donation your company can contribute will be greatly appreciated, and ensure all participants experience reality as a non-blind individual.”
