CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Nashville Veterinary Specialists Clarksville as a new member in a ribbon-cutting on Monday, June 1.

Becky Dan, Director of Marketing and Community Outreach, said they discovered there were many pets in Clarksville that needed medical care, adding they found out that people from Clarksville and the surrounding area were driving to Nashville for pet care.

Dan said they don’t provide primary care such as health-wellness checks or yearly vaccinations.

“We take care of the ones that are really sick,” Dan said. “We do after hours emergency, when the regular vets are closed and (provide) specialty care.”

Nashville Veterinary Specialists Clarksville is open for emergencies 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. and Dan encouraged if it is before 6 p.m. for people to contact their primary care veterinarian.  During the daytime Dan said that is when they see the specialty patients which is by appointment.

“We’ve had such great responses from the primary care veterinarians and from the pet parents and we’re just really happy to be part of the Clarksville community,” Dan said.

Nashville Veterinary Specialist of Clarksville are located at 685 Kennedy Lane, just off-of Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
