CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving another driver who was allegedly under the influence in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 20.
According to Clarksville police, around 1:30 a.m. 21-year-old Benjamin Wilson was driving a Ford Focus and tried to make a left turn from N. 2nd Street to Riverside Drive. He failed to yield to an oncoming motorcycle driving south on Providence Blvd. when the vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist, identified as 25-year-old Diamond Dillard, died at the scene.
Wilson has been charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and failure to yield.
