GREENVILLE, Ky. – Authorities say nine members of a family of 11 were killed in a house fire in Kentucky at 2:01 a.m. Thursday, WKRN News 2 reports.
Muhlenberg County Coroner Tony Armour told CNN the fire occurred at the Greenville home of Chad and Larae Watson at 3734 Motes Lane, Depoy, KY around 2 a.m. The couple has nine children between the ages of four and 15.
The father, 36, and one child, 11, were flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment for “severe burns,” according to Armour. The father is in critical but stable condition, and the daughter, Kylie, is in stable condition.
Autopsies have determined that the 9 victims died from smoke inhalation.
Kentucky State Police confirmed that nine victims were found dead within the home:
LaRae Watson, (35), Mother
Madison Watson, (15 female)
Kaitlyn Watson, (14 female)
Morgan Watson, (13 female)
Emily Watson, (9 female)
Samuel Watson, (8 male)
Raegan Watson, (6 female)

(Mark and Nathaniel are twins)
The home, which is located about 90 miles northwest of Nashville, is considered a total loss. Investigators with the Kentucky State Police and the State Fire Marshals’ Office have ruled this fire accidental. It appears that an electric baseboard heater located in a bedroom ignited some nearby combustibles.
The family attended Calvary Baptist Church in Central City, Kentucky. According to the church’s Facebook page, donations to the surviving family members can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Watson Family Fund at Old National Bank and Commonwealth Community Bank, or the Watson Family Memorial Fund at First Kentucky Bank.
