MUNCIE, Ind. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Austin Peay volleyball junior Brooke Moore became the first Governor since 2009 to record a 20-20 performance, helping the Govs earn a split in their Saturday contests at the Active Ankle Challenge hosted by Ball State.

The Governors took down Missouri State in five sets (25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 24-26, 15-13) before dropping their match against Wright State in three sets (16-25, 27-29, 19-25).

Moore sparked Austin Peay’s hot start to the day, posting 29 kills and 22 digs in the Govs win over Missouri State. The 29-kill performance was good enough to give Moore the fourth-best single-match total in program history and the most a Governor has earned since 2012.

In the loss against Wright State, Moore and sophomore Jenna Panning compiled 12 kills each as the Moore-Panning tandem accounted for 24 of the Govs 37 total kills in the match.

Moore received Active Ankle Challenge all-tournament team honors after tallying 47 kills (4.27/set), a .260 attack percentage and 43 digs (3.91/set) all of which were team-highs.

Austin Peay continues its 16-match road trip to open up the 2019 season as the Governors take on Western Kentucky at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
