CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition held its monthly meeting August 15, 2018 at Veterans Plaza.
The meeting’s guest speaker, Young Park, is Relationship Manager with AAFMAA Wealth Management & Trust, LLC. He delivered a presentation on the Thrifty Savings Plan (TSP) and discussed its purpose and how to prepare for retirement, as well as what services are available through his company to assist military service members, their families, survivors, and veterans who have a TSP account. He spoke about the various wealth management options and financial counseling available through AAFMAA to assist service members and veterans for the best potential outcomes for reaching retirement goals.
The Welcome Home Celebration is Sept 12-16. It begins with escorting the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall on Sept 12 and ends with the closing ceremonies on the 16. Everyone is looking forward to the concerts, parades, Vetfest and so much more. The most recent announcement is that Lee Greenwood will perform on September 15 at Beachaven. MCVC had its 2nd Networking meeting in August. These networking events are a great opportunity for veterans owned businesses, veteran friendly businesses, churches, non profits, and community leaders to strengthen our veteran community and ensure all options are available to our veterans.
