CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery Central wrestler Jack Levendusky, who wrestles in the 106-pound weight class, recently broke the program record for most wins in a freshman season after recording his 30th victory of the year. In the days since, he has only added to his record as he currently holds 32 wins this season.
“It was just a milestone in the road to what I hope to achieve,” Levendusky told Clarksville Now. “There is much more to accomplish this year, but I am happy to hold the record and give glory to God.”
Levendusky broke the freshmen wins record one year after teammate and regional champion Jackson Key broke the record in 2023-24. Before that, the record was previously held for almost 20 years by Jeff Price, who has been the longtime boys’ wrestling coach at Rossview High.

While speaking on his son’s accomplishments, Montgomery Central wrestling coach Derek Levendusky said Jack has been wrestling since he was three years old and had been waiting to leave his mark on MCHS athletics.
“He came into this program ready to contribute and it’s been great to see him rise to varsity wrestling,” Derek Levendusky said. “I know he’ll downplay this accomplishment, but I think it’s pretty cool for him to be able to do that and show his hard work. His teammates are very supportive, and I certainly give some credit to them for making him better.”
Montgomery Central’s regular season has come to an end; however, the team now has their eyes set on postseason play.
