CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery Central Middle School will soon have a new principal following the resignation of Vicki Winners.
Winner resigned for “personal reasons,” according to CMCSS spokesman Anthony Johnson. She will be succeeded by Lisa Courson.
Courson has served as assistant principal at Richview Middle since 2016. She began teaching in 2003 at Kenwood Elementary, and has since taught at West Creek Elementary and Richview Middle.
On Friday, Courson sent the following email to MCMS parents:
“Good afternoon, Montgomery Central Middle School families. This is Dr. Lisa Courson. It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Montgomery Central Middle School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education! Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the focus on challenging students to succeed in achievement and growth and building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. My official start date is Monday, March 28, and I look forward to meeting you all soon!”
Today was Courson’s first day at MCMS.
