CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A two-family residence burned down this week in the 700 block of Monroe Street in the Greenwood area.

Clarksville Fire Rescue arrived at the scene at 5:18 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16. According to CFR Capt. Jobe Moore, one resident was outside the two-story home as heavy smoke poured from the door and windows.

Moore said that firefighters were able to quickly gain control of the fire, and no one was injured. The resident had inhaled some smoke, but was otherwise unharmed.

Firefighters have yet to determine what caused the fire.
