CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This Memorial Day, 5 Star Media Group wants to honor all of the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country.
On Monday, May 31, tune in to Beaver 100.3, Q108, Z97.5 or Rewind 94.3 for a moment of silence for our fallen heroes.
“Memorial Day is normally the kickoff of summer, school is usually out, there’s barbecues, sales and all these things,” said Mike Sanders, Beaver Country program director. “I decided we need to get back to why we have Memorial Day. It’s to honor the men and women who haven’t just served, but who have died in service.
“We want to take a moment and think about those that made the ultimate sacrifice so we can so we can enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill over the weekend,” Sanders said.
The moment of silence is scheduled for 3 p.m.
