SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – The 2nd Annual Tyler Jackson Head Memorial 5K Fun Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at Travis Price Park in Springfield, TN.

The walk honors the memory of Tyler J. Head, who was killed Feb. 3, 2012 while driving in Clarksville on his way to class at Austin Peay State University (APSU).

Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the walk begins at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $10 per person, and proceeds support the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America and the Tyler J. Head APSU scholarship fund for Agriculture students.

Tyler lived the last 7 years of his young life with a diagnosis of Colitis that was later changed to Crohn’s. Finding a cure for Crohn’s & Colitis and attaining a degree in Agriculture from APSU were very important to Tyler. His family and friends wish to continue to honor Tyler by contributing to these two worthwhile causes.

Those unable to attend the event who wish to make a contribution can contact Chuck Head at chead39@aol.com or Gina Head at burntchurch60@yahoo.com.
