Maurice “Buddy” Hughes Morgan Jr., age 80, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare.
Buddy was born on December 29, 1941 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Maurice Morgan and Pearl Lyle Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece, Phyllis Burkhart Konvalinka. He is survived by his nephews, Mike (Birdie) Burkhart, John Burkhart; niece, Ann Morgan Burkhart and several cousins.
Buddy was a United States Army Veteran and a Journalist. He worked at WJZM and WSM, CH4 in Nashville as a News Reporter from 1969 to 1975.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
