Marie Black, of Charlotte, TN passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, from complications of COVID-19 at the age of 94.
She is preceded in death by husband William “Bill” Black and son Daniel Black. She is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Erica) and Lynn (Melissa), 5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Regina, Cameron, Erik, and Brandon, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Marie was a fabulous cook, loved bowling, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from Nashville Memorial Hospital after many years as an assistant to the Director of Nursing and was a devoted member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Hendersonville since 1959. She had a great sense of humor and charmed everyone she met.
In respect and consideration of this horrible virus that took Marie from us, there will be no visitation. The immediate family will hold graveside services at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
