CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The man who was found shot in the head early Tuesday morning in northwest Clarksville has died of his injuries, and a suspect has been arrested in Nashville.
In the early morning of Sept. 10, a man was found in the Ash Ridge Drive area next to the Dollar General parking lot with a gunshot wound to the head, according to previous reports. A gun was found at the scene.

He has since been taken off of life support and has been identified as 18-year-old Carlos Wills of Lebanon, Tennessee, Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien said Friday night.
Detectives with District 1 Criminal Investigations, CPD’s Intelligence Unit, and Special Operations Homicide Unit have been investigating this incident and identified 20-year-old Za’Kwon Jaterrion Holliday of Clarksville as the suspect, Beaubien said. They secured a homicide warrant for his arrest.
Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m., in a collaborative effort, agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Metro/Nashville Police detectives made a traffic stop and arrested Holliday in Nashville.
“This was an isolated incident, and at no time did law enforcement believe there to be an active threat to the public at large,” Beaubien said.
CPD Detectives are also interested in speaking to 19-year-old Davontay Tyrek Spencer of Clarksville who was present at the time of the shooting. Anyone with information on the location of Spencer is asked to contact CPD.
