CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police are looking for 38-year-old David Burnett, who has arrest warrants for aggravated assault and weapon possession as a felon stemming from a shooting Wednesday on Chapel Street.

On Wednesday morning, a shots fired call came in at 10:22 a.m., Lt. Charles Gill confirmed to Clarksville Now.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Chapel Street, where the shooting had already occurred, Gill said in a news release. Burnett was identified as the person who shot at the victim, based on the investigation, the news release said. The victim was uninjured in the incident.

Burnett is a convicted felon on community corrections, and he now has active warrants for aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm, Gill said.

Burnett should be considered armed, and Gill advised not to approach him. If you do happen to see Burnett, please call 911 immediately and wait for an officer.
