CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man has been arrested after Clarksville Police found over 10 pounds of illegal drugs – including over 1 pound of fentanyl – in his home in the West Fork Hills neighborhood.
On Feb. 13, CPD agents executed a search warrant on Norris Drive. One occupant of the residence was identified as 48-year-old Jarvis Griffin, according to the affidavit. During the search, police located several substances that appeared to be fentanyl, cocaine, psilocybin wax (also known as “magic mushrooms”) and marijuana.
According to documents obtained by Clarksville Now, agents also found a loaded semi-automatic handgun, a shotgun, rolling papers and plastic bags with residue. Additionally, the search revealed that Griffin was a convicted felon for resale schedule II (cocaine).
According to the affidavit, police field tested the drugs and received positive results for:
- 4 colored batches of fentanyl, each weighing in excess of 150 grams (over 600 grams, 1.3 pounds total)
- 200 grams of cocaine (slightly less than half a pound)
- 542 grams of psilocybin wax (about 1.2 pounds)
- 4,638.49 grams of marijuana (about 10.2 pounds)
In total, police seized around 13 pounds of drugs from the home (about 5,980 grams). According to the affidavit, during an interview with police, Griffin claimed ownership of the shotgun and all contraband in the residence.
Griffin was arrested and charged with:
- 7 counts of violating Tennessee drug laws (manufacturing, delivery, selling, or possession of a controlled substance with intent to do any of the former)
- 1 count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony
- 1 count of convicted felon going armed
- 1 count of unlawful drug paraphernalia
