CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – It is the mission of United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region to best determine community social need and respond by strategically aligning resources to address those needs. United Way’s well established process for evaluating needs and ensuring positive community impact provides the most effective framework for making sound funding decisions.
As directed by the Montgomery County Commission, United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region will apply this process to distribute FY16 funding received to nonprofit partner programs in Montgomery County. Health and human welfare and development organizations eligible in accordance with local United Way bylaws will receive communication from United Way in the near future regarding the application process. Recognizing the financial impact and timeliness of agency budget concerns, United Way will work to ensure a prompt yet thorough review of eligible funding requests.
“Having invested its confidence in the accountability our funding process provides, United Way applauds the County Commission’s decision to continue its support of local humanitarian needs. As an advocate for those in need and the programs serving them, we are grateful these resources have been preserved. While funds available to distribute have been considerably reduced due to budget constraints, United Way’s process will ensure they are well distributed to achieve positive measurable outcomes,” said Ginna Holleman, local United Way Executive Director.
