CLARKSVILLE, TN – Local author and Greenwood Cemetery historian Carolyn Ferrell is offering tours of Greenwood Cemetery for anyone with a love of history.

Governors, postmasters, actors and many more people of importance are buried at Greenwood. Ferrell has written two books about the cemetery, and she has spoken with family members of those buried there and past caretakers.

“Carolyn’s tours, as she tells history in a storyteller’s way that is knowledgeable, funny, and full of anecdotes, will have you enthralled from the very beginning,” said Greenwood’s Dana Koverman.

The route for the tour will be in the front older section of the cemetery with new sights and stories.

The “Queen City of the Cumberland Tours” will begin April 13 at 10 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, at 976 Greenwood Ave. Prices are ages 18 and up $15, ages 11-17: $10 and ages 10 and under free. Additional tours will be on April 27 and May 18.
