HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – It has been 50 years since the Woodstock Music Festival. To commemorate the anniversary the Lights Out Festival will be held Saturday, August 17 in Hopkinsville.
A join partnership by the Pennyroyal Arts Council and Casey Jones Distillery, the event will include a special performance by The Woodstock Rock Orkestra. Held at the Casey Jones Distillery Saturday, August 17 at 7 p.m. the concert will benefit the Pennyroyal Arts Council.
The Woodstock Rock Orchestra will perform a three hour concert under the stars. Enjoy iconic music which helped define a generation and made waves in the American music scene.
The performance will feature Kentucky natives, including directors Mark Jones and Lee Carroll. Hopkinsville’s own Chip Graham and Alonzo Pennington.
The Woodstock Rock Orkestra will perform hits of the 1969 festival along with other Woodstock era hits.
This is an all-age event with general admission tickets $25 per person and $10 for kids under 12. VIP tickets can be purchased for those 21 and up. The VIP tickets include access to an exclusive area complete with a VIP bar, tables, and chair for $37.50. An entire table can be reserved for a group in the exclusive area by purchasing eight VIP tickets.
Additionally, the distillery is offering camping options Friday and Saturday nights for $10 night. Each Camper must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult.
The gates open Saturday at 10 a.m. with warm up music starting on the back porch at 2:30 p.m. Food trucks, tours and tastings are available prior to the event.
