CLAKRSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Library will host two free performances by the award-winning tall tale champion Bil Lepp. On Tuesday, July 16 he will delight audiences and share his art with the community.
Bil is a storyteller from Jonesborough, Tenn and a five-time winner of the West Virginia Liars Contest.
Bil’s humorous, family friendly tall-tales have earned the appreciation of listeners from all walks of life. The first show will run from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for children ages 5 and up. An all ages performance will be held at 6:30 pm.
Lepp’s stories are clever and witty, but contain morsels of truth. Audiences all across the country, from grade schools to the Comedy Central Stage, have enjoyed Bil’s mirthful tales and delightful insights into everyday life.
Bil’s books and audio collections have won awards including the PEN Steven Kroll Award for Children’s Book Writing, and the Parents’ Choice Gold awards.
