A graveside service for Leslie “Les” Demonbreun, age 72 of Clarksville, will be Friday, January 29, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Jarrell Cemetery. Bro. John Richardson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Les passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was born on March 9, 1948, in Cheatham County, Tn to Hudson and Dorothy Demonbreun. Les was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in Vietnam in the 16th Infantry and was a Purple Heart recipient. Les was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Union of Operating Engineers and a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, Les is preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie and Charles Demonbreun; and sister-in-law, Betty Sue Demonbreun. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty J. Demonbreun; son, Allan (Lisa) Demonbreun; daughter, Amy (Dan) Cunningham; grandchildren: Ali Demonbreun, Emily Demonbreun, Bailey Cunningham, and Danielle Wilkes; great-grandchildren, Landon and Addie; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
