CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Local law enforcement agencies are currently searching the Vanderbilt-Clarksville Hospital after a bomb threat was reported to police late Sunday morning.

The bomb threat was reported when a caller claimed that several individuals had placed pipe bombs around the property, according to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

At this time, no devices have been located, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad has been notified of the situation.

“Clarksville Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Rescue and EMS responded and established operations around the hospital campus,” said Beaubien. “Officers conducted searches of the building’s entrances, trash cans, dumpsters, and the building’s perimeter at the hospital’s request.”

EMS diverted incoming transports to Sango’s ER while emergency personnel staged nearby and secured the area, he said.
