CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The 35th Kiwanis Bill Hoy Rodeo is going on this weekend, with team roping, barrel racing, bull riding and more in a sold-out event.

The Kiwanis Rodeo, a PRCA ProRodeo Event, is held each year at the Montgomery County 4-H Arena on Rossview Road.

Friday night, the stands were packed with people enjoying the show. Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden surprised Bill Hoy himself with the presentation of a framed rodeo jersey.

Proceeds from the event support Kiwanis children’s programs, including Explorer’s Landing at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center, and the Reading Rodeo, in which every third-grader in Montgomery County gets a free book.

Saturday night is the final night for the rodeo and it’s sold out, but be sure to look for it next year.
