CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Kirkwood High senior lineman Kamari Blair has been named a semifinalist for the Tennessee Titans Class 5A Mr. Football Award, the TSSAA announced on Thursday.

Blair is a 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive and defensive lineman, who is currently ranked as the number seven overall recruit in the class of 2026 in the state of Tennessee. The senior has already committed to play for the University of Tennessee next fall.

Up to this point in the year, on defense, Blair has totaled 36 tackles, which includes 14 tackles for a loss, and 6 sacks. On offense, he’s dominated the line of scrimmage for an offense that’s gained more than 3,750 total yards, with 1,773 yards coming from the Cobras ground attack.

He’s tallied 77 pancake blocks, and he even has a touchdown reception on the year. Blair also has thrown one pass for 27 yards, giving him a 100% completion percentage on the year.

“It is a great honor for Kamari, his teammates, our program, and our school,” said Kirkwood head coach Chad Watson. “Kamari has worked extremely hard to achieve his current position. From a 220-pound sophomore to the 285-pound man he is now. We are so proud of Kamari for earning this recognition. We are also proud as a program to have two Mr. Football semi-finalists in only our third year as a program.”

When Clarksville Now asked Blair about his thoughts on being named a semifinalist, Blair opted for a short but meaningful quote. “Blessed and thankful,” he said.
