Christmas on the Cumberland has officially begun, and several fun and family-friendly activities are planned for the holiday season.
The community can enjoy the light display nightly from 5-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 4. Admission is free.
The following is a list of children’s activities at the McGregor Park Museum from 6-8 p.m.:
December 13th- Reindeer Candy Cane Craft, and performances beginning at 6 p.m. by Dance Force, Gateway CAST & Crowns Performing Arts Center, Natalie’s Dance Network, Clarksville High School, Montgomery Central High School.
December 14th– Christmas Cookie Bake-Off; Bakers of all skill levels are encouraged to bake their favorite holiday treat and submit their entry from 5-7p .m. at the Museum at McGregor Park. Entry fee is five samples for judging along with two dozen treats which will be donated to Manna Café. Entries will be judged according to taste, presentation, and originality.
And performances beginning at 6 p.m. by Distinguished Steppers, Rewind Academy of Dance, Acro Dance Express, Kenwood High School, Rossview High School, Clarksville Academy.
December 20th– Cookie Decorating
December 21st– *NEW* Giving on the Cumberland Drop Off. This event encourages community members to help those in need. “Ornaments” with items of need from the following non-profit organizations will be displayed in the museum: Hope Pregnancy Center, The Fisher House, Serenity House Women’s Shelter, Montgomery County Friend of the Shelter, Junior Auxiliary, and Clarksville Montgomery County School System. Visitors have the opportunity to take an “ornament” (now until the 21st) and then bring their donation to the museum on this drop off night.
Christmas on the Cumberland is presented by the City of Clarksville and US Bank.
