Kevin McWhorter, age 54 of Clarksville, TN, went to meet the Lord on Friday, July 7, 2017.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at noon in the chapel of Neal-Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home with Charles Martin and Enrique Hernandez-Vigil officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 until the hour of service.
Kevin was born on April 22,1963 in Montgomery County to the late Ray McWhorter and Mabel Griffy McWhorter.
Kevin recently retired as a small engine technician for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System. He was a faithful member of Fellowship UMC where he served as drummer for the worship band. Kevin was a humble, loving man with a gift for making people laugh.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Debra Sutton McWhorter; daughter, Kristen (Ryan) Sandmire; son, Skyler McWhorter all of Clarksville,TN; brothers, Philip (Kay) McWhorter, Washington, and Mike (Janet) McWhorter, Cunningham, TN; sister Evonne McWhorter Austin, Murfreesboro, TN; and his precious granddaughter Laney Sandmire.
Pallbearers will be Travis Kennedy, Justin Shepherd, Clinton Shepherd, Jeremiah Jones, Bobby Taylor and Larry Clinard. Honorary pallbearers are the Fellowship UMC Worship Team.
