CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With an Ice Storm Warning in effect, several closings are anticipated.

Here are the schools and agencies that will be closed, or will have altered hours. Closings can be reported by emailing news@clarksvillenow.com.

Friday

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools: All CMCSS schools and district offices will be closed Friday. CMCSS will use the 4th of 5 inclement weather stockpile days.

Clarksville Christian School: Closed Friday.

Montgomery County courts: Jurors that were due to report on Friday have now been rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 a.m.

Fort Campbell: The post will be on a delayed opening Friday, with civilian and military employees reporting no later than two hours after their regularly scheduled time to arrive. Emergency employees will report at regular time. Military personnel will take guidance from their commands.

  • Fort Campbell schools and offices are closed Friday.
  • Child Development Centers and School Age Centers will open at their normal time Friday.
  • Lozada Physical Fitness Center will remain open 24/7 and the remaining physical fitness centers will open two hours late Friday.
  • The Commissary will open at 9 a.m. Friday.
  • The AAFES Main Exchange and food court will open at their normal time Friday, the 24-hour Kentucky Express (shoppette) will reopen Friday at 10 a.m.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital: Outpatient services will operate on a two-hour delay Friday. All inpatient and emergency services continue with normal 24/7 operations.

Thursday

City Council: Mayor Joe Pitts has requested that City Council members and the public not attend the scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. today. The mayor will still convene the meeting, take roll, and adjourn if fewer than seven members are in attendance, the number required by the Charter to constitute a quorum. Mayor Pitts will make an announcement regarding rescheduling those items on the February agenda.

City of Clarksville: Offices closed at noon today. Clarksville Gas & Water administration and engineering offices will close at 2 p.m., including the north and south customer service centers. In the event of a gas, water, or sewer emergency, customers should call 931-645-7400 or the after-hours emergency line at 931-645-0116.

Montgomery County Government: Offices are closing at 2 p.m.

APSU basketball: Austin Peay State University’s doubleheader against Murray State in the Winfield Dunn Center has been moved up yet another hour. The women’s game against the Racers will now tipoff at 4 p.m., with the men’s game at 4:30 p.m. This is the second time change for the games.

First Thursday Art Walk: February’s First Thursday Art Walk is postponed for one week, to Thursday, Feb. 10, from 5-8 p.m.

Fort Campbell: Fort Campbell is granting non-mission essential civilian and military employees early departure between noon and 2 p.m. The post will be on a delayed opening Friday, with civilian and military employees reporting no later than two hours after their regularly scheduled time to arrive. Emergency employees will report at regular time. Military personnel will take guidance from their commands.

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital: Outpatient services close at noon today, with the COVID vaccine clinic closing at 1 p.m. On Friday, BACH outpatient services will operate on a two-hour delay. All face-to-face outpatient services at BACH and outlying clinics including Screaming Eagle Medical Home in Clarksville, pharmacies, COVID testing, lab, and dental close at noon today and operate on a two-hour delay Friday. All inpatient and emergency services continue with normal 24/7 operations.

Austin Peay State University: APSU will close at noon. All on-ground classes and events are canceled. This includes the Fort Campbell campus. Students need to check D2L course sites for details on make-up work or tests, or contact the instructor.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools: All CMCSS schools will release early, operating on a half-day schedule. Pre-K will not report. Breakfast and lunch will be served, but options may be modified or served grab-and-go. After-school activities and athletics are canceled. Half day dismissal times for each school are online: elementary, middle, high. With a half day schedule, CMCSS schools will not have to use an inclement weather stockpile day. District offices will close at 2 p.m. Mission-essential and “snow team” employees will receive further guidance from their supervisors.

Madison Street UMC Preschool: Closing at noon.
