CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A house fire has displaced a family and claimed the lives of their beloved pets Saturday, February 22 in Clarksville. At 3:15pm Saturday, Clarksville Fire Rescue Capt. Jobe Moore noticed the fire as he was driving with his family.
Moore immediately went into action, calling 9-1-1 and assisting the victims.

Crews from four stations arrived on the scene to battle the blaze. After an aggressive attack, officials believe the fire began in the area of one bedroom and the attic above, as this is where most of the damage occurred.
The single-story residence is no longer safe, and the family has been displaced from their home. The local chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting the family.

No injuries were reported to residents or fire personnel. Two cats and a dog did perish in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
