CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Hopkinsville, Ky. has been arrested in Clarksville.

According to Officer Paul Ray with the Hopkinsville Police Department (HPD), an Owensboro, Ky. man was shot in the torso Feb. 23 outside of a bar on West 7th St. in Hopkinsville.

HPD’s Investigative Bureau and members of the Kentucky Gun Crimes Task Force were able to identify and locate the suspect, Timothy Brown, 29, at the Winner’s Circle Motel on Fort Campbell Blvd. in Clarksville.

Brown was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder. He is currently in the Montgomery County Jail awaiting extradition.

The condition of the victim was not released.
