HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKRN) – The man wanted on a murder charge in connection with a deadly shooting last week in Hopkinsville has turned himself in to authorities.

According to Hopkinsville police, Shakkory Dashaun Willis, an Oak Grove man, surrendered Monday at the Christian County jail.

Police were called to a shooting just after midnight on January 24 at a residence on Bethel Street where Corvyan Thomas, 20, was found dead from at least one gunshot wound and a 19-year-old had been shot in the leg.

Three juveniles and two adults were already arrested on various charges including robbery.

Charges against Willis include murder, robbery, and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Police have not released a possible motive for the fatal shooting.
