HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The City of Hopkinsville held its fourth annual Hoptown Summer Salute festival Friday and Saturday in the downtown area loaded with vendor and food booths, rides for the kids, a splash pad, free giveaways and live music featuring national headliners.
The event was sponsored by Fortera Credit Union, Pennyrile Electric, Hopkinsville Electric System & EnergyNet and Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority (HWEA).
Walker Montgomery, a Kentucky native and up-and-coming country singer, opened up for Grammy award winner Joe Diffie who was the final marquee attraction of Saturday night.
Festival organizers estimate 25,000 people of all ages gathered to enjoy everything the festival had to offer.
