CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police have identified and arrested the truck driver allegedly involved in the March 3, hit-and-run pedestrian wreck on New Providence Boulevard.
On Tuesday, March 3, at 6:20 p.m., John Dukes, Jr., was struck by a Ford F150 on New Providence Boulevard near Power Street.
The Ford F-150 was located in Robertson County on March 6.
On March 10, 2020, around 9 a.m., Daniel Lopez-Villa, 27, turned himself in to Clarksville Police Department.
FACT investigators interviewed Lopez-Villa about the hit and run crash on March 3, 2020. During the interview, he admitted to driving the 2009 Ford F150 and striking John Dukes, Jr. in the roadway.
Daniel Lopez-Villa was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injury and Driving without a license.
John Dukes, Jr. remains at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition.
