CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With highs lingering near the triple digits, a Heat Advisory from the National Weather Service remains in effect through the weekend. Overnight temperatures will remain warm, with lows in the mid-70s.

The high on Tuesday reached 99 at 3 p.m., with a 105 heat index. On Wednesday, it reached 98 degrees at 4 p.m., again with a 105 heat index.

During the Heat Advisory, people are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors

Temperatures should finally begin cooling down Monday night, with a low of 69, then a Tuesday high down to 91.
