CLARKSVILLE, TN – Greenwood Cemetery is in the process of expanding their Ashes Scattering Garden. It will create a whole new garden space to scatter loved ones and add an addition to the existing garden.

We appreciate all who have brought their loved ones out to scatter in our Ashes Garden, designed by Herman Albright, Master Gardener, and maintained by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Master Gardener Association Volunteers. The Greenwood Grounds crew maintains the mowing, and keeps all debris picked up; thank you to the wonderful crew.

To expand the garden, volunteers will be needed, date to be announced, and donations. Dirt, landscaping cloth and bodies will be needed to help place the stones and plant the new bushes and plants. This is a great volunteer job for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or local companies looking to give back to the community. Thank you to Clarksville Memorial for donating the boulders and steppingstones also thank you to the Batts family for all the flagstones that will use as surround edging.

We are so excited to add to our already beautiful and serene garden a place to sit and enjoy the peace and serenity of nature. For more information you can call Dana at 931-933-1149 or email Greenwood Cemetery at 976greenwood@bellsouth.net.
