CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Google will host a data center groundbreaking event in Clarksville on Feb. 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.

The event will feature state and local leaders, a senior Google executive, and other local announcements, according to a press release.

Google acquired the site in 2015 and the data center is a $600 million investment in TN’s economy. The groundbreaking event highlights the support of state and local officials and community leaders.

The center will be located on the former Hemlock Semiconductor site. It is expected to create about 70 new jobs and attract worldwide attention to Clarksville-Montgomery County.
