FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Visitors to Fort Campbell this week will find Gate 10 closed, and it will stay that way for about the next six weeks during a road-widening project.

The gate will be closed for about 45 days, along with 101st Airborne Division Road from William C. Lee to Jordan Springs Road, according to Fort Campbell’s Directorate of Public Works. The project includes improvements to Gate 10 and full-depth road resurfacing.

Gate 10 traffic is being detoured to Mabry Gate, which will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All other gates will observe their normal hours of operation. Signs are posted alerting of closures and detour routes.

One of the improvements will include a right hand turn lane off of 101st Airborne Division Road onto William C. Lee Road, according to the Fort Campbell Public Affairs Office.

Barring weather delays, the Gate 10 access control point is expected to reopen by October.
