Freddy Don Haywood, age 85 of Clarksville, passed away on May 13, 2021.
He was born on April 18, 1936 in Hughes Springs, TX to Homer and Eileen Haywood. He was an Army veteran and retired from civil services. Freddy enjoyed studying the Bible, spending time with his family and trying to play the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Doris Clark, LaVergne Haywood and Carroll Haywood. Freddy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Haywood; son, Dewayne Haywood; daughters: Patty Maggard and Priscilla (Jody) Westover; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for service was held Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
